Well christmas always has a symbolic meaning for all of us and that includes me. I watched the Polar Express yesterday and many thoughts start flashing through my memories. I used to believe in Santa Clause but as the years go by, Santa soon lost a place in my heart and somehow I can relate to the boy in the show. The word the ticket conductor punched on his ticket is what pricked my heart, "believe". How I wish I could be a kid all over again. Fairytales always seem real then. As the saying goes, "Ignorance is bliss". I couldn't agree more. As my knowledge meter increases, everything is viewed from a scientific point of view, there's no such thing as Santa, elves, evil snowman. Christmas is no longer magical as it was a decade ago. :(
Christmas for me now is more for thanksgiving, exchanging of gifts and a time of gatherings.
27 days to Christmas :)
